DENVER, January 2, 2018 — Today, Northstar Commercial Partners announced plans for Denver Research Institute’s move into its 830 Potomac building in Aurora, Colorado, also activating the property for additional leasing opportunities.
The Denver Research Institute, serving as the nonprofit organization affiliated with the VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System, has signed a seven year ±8,000 SF lease with Northstar, effective January 2018.
The fully executed lease with Northstar will serve as new office space for the Institute and will be used to manage several projects that have been offsite from the hospital for the past five years. In addition to utilizing the space for office management, the Denver Research Institute also hopes to host two exam rooms that will be potentially used for clinical trials.

Watson noted that there is also ±105,000 SF of office space still available for lease at 830 Potomac.
The Institute manages research funds used to benefit veterans. Additionally, the organization helps to attract funds through soliciting and submitting proposals to fund federal and nonfederal agencies alike.
The Denver Research Institute then collaborates with Veterans Affairs researchers and clinicians on an MD and/or PHD level, assisting in obtaining and managing funding for the projects of these partners. Focus areas of the research include suicide prevention, post-traumatic stress disorder, amputee research, traumatic brain injury, and cancer, as well as a number of other subjects affecting veterans today.
Edward Black, the Executive Director of Denver Research Institute, spoke of their experience with Northstar Commercial Partners as very positive and highly communicative.
